With over 35 years of experience, Emily Braman, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, was one of the few women in the room during the early years of her career. As the founder of an independent appraisal firm in Cleveland, Ohio, she now leads a remarkable, family-centric team of seven talented women.

Specializing in solving complex commercial and residential appraisal challenges, Emily focuses primarily on eminent domain, municipalities, and litigation cases. Her leadership extends beyond her firm, as she served as the President of the Ohio Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. During her tenure, Emily orchestrated successful online roundtable series and currently oversees the annual Property Tax webinar for OCAI.

Beyond her appraisal practice, Emily is deeply engaged in community building. She has a rich history of fostering connections, having served as the long-time president of the Onaway Community Organization in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Additionally, she dedicated her time as the PTO President at Shaker Heights Middle School, where she initiated an annual fundraiser, consistently raising over $25k.

Emily's commitment to supporting and empowering women in the appraisal industry is evident not only in her professional endeavors but also in her personal life. Married with four wonderful grown and almost grown children, Emily lives with her husband and teenage son in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Her vision for the future involves enjoying the company of her favorite women appraisers on a beach, practicing yoga, and engaging in meaningful discussions about their shared profession.
